DAY LEKBERG
I create abstract self-portraits using everyday items and recycled materials, paying close attention to detail and craftsmanship. My art is intentionally time-consuming and involves repetitive tasks that help me achieve a quiet, productive state of mind.
I build off my previous pieces to create a new story and use my art as a personal reflection and growth process. As an educator, I bring this same intentionality into my teaching, encouraging young minds to find meaning in their creative expression.
My dedication to thoughtful, methodical creation drives me to make art every day, using patience and persistence to transform simple materials into meaningful compositions.
